I have been fortunate to travel to Iceland 4 times and have learned a lot in doing so. I hope to share some of my itineraries as well as others I have seen, and comment on the good and bad in each of them. I will also show how I create an itinerary and how they have changed from the first trip to the last. Everyone’s ideal trip will be different depending on how much you like to drive (or whether you will drive at all), what your main goals are, and how much time you have to spend in this amazing country.

Iceland offers amazing vistas, dramatic views, harsh landscapes, towering waterfalls, amazing people, seaside villages, black sand beaches, glaciers, lagoons, basalt columns (my favorite), and occasionally puffins. Small fishing villages, whale watching, the occasional volcano, ice caves, and the Northern Lights all draw people to this beautiful island.

Whether you have only a few days or several weeks, a perfect trip can be had (weather permitting).
