Here I am in 2020 on the Vatnajökull glacier. It had been my dream for years to visit Iceland. Something about the ruggedness of the country, the beauty of the waterfalls, the intrigue of the black sand beaches, the starkness of the churches in the middle of nowhere, heck, nearly anything I had ever seen or read about Iceland spoke to me. I made it during my 50th year which became my deadline and made it just before Covid changed everything. (In fact the day we left Iceland is the day they traced the first recorded case entering the country).
And Iceland did not disappoint. If anything, it created a attraction to the country that I have yet to vanquish. I have been there two more times since and am already thinking of everywhere I want to go on my next trip. So while I work on getting there again, I want to share what I have learned and pictures of where I have been.
